Girls Aloud reunion – Nadine Coyle would ‘never rule it out’ | Music | Entertainment

The singer, 32, is in the midst of releasing her own new music and said she still “loves” the band, who shot to fame in 2002 and split in 2013.

Speaking to Christine Lampard on ITV’s Lorraine today, she said: “I love Girls Aloud. I’ve always had so much fun and really had a great time.

“I would never, ever rule it out [a reunion]. We’ll see what happens and I’m looking forward to seeing the Spice Girls thing!”

Probed on the differences between performing alone and with bandmates around her, she went on: “I am also a fan of having other people on stage. Even if it’s backing singers or musicians you can look at and go, ‘are you OK?’, you want that camaraderie on stage.

“The thought of just you and an audience is quite terrifying.”

It was Nadine who opened up last year on the struggles the band had behind-the-scenes.

She starred in the quintet alongside Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Cheryl Tweedy; and seemingly on stays in touch now with Sarah.

“It just happened that I always got more vocals than everybody else, so in terms of people wanting their voice heard, that wasn’t happening,” she told The Sun.

“And it made people very bitter. They didn’t like that.”

Their split in 2013 came despite them having signed a renewed three-album recording contract, leaving her devastated.

But when she initially said in 2013 that she had “no part in any of this split business”, Cheryl later said she was “full of s**t”.

Nadine will tour later this year, performing her own material and some of Girls Aloud’s biggest hits.
