Led Zeppelin REUNION: Robert Plant SPEAKS and on Glastonbury rumours | Music | Entertainment

This year marks the 50th anniversary of one of the most successful bands in history.

The only problem is Led Zeppelin haven’t reunited for a gig since the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert at the O2 Arena in London back in 2007.

While events are planned for later in the year and a book on the band by Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, they are also 2/1 to headline Glastonbury in 2019.

Now Plant has spoken out on those reunion rumours and sadly for fans, it’s not looking so good.

Speaking with Press Association at yesterday’s Silver Clef Awards in London, the 69-year-old said: “Only in a chip shop in Camden Town!

“I think that’s about as close as we will get to it!

“We are very pleased and glad with our very, very short career.

“If you think about it, it’s only 12 years. We get on OK, but, you know.”

The 69-year-old spoke to Louisville radio DJ Kyle Meredith on 91.9 WFPK, where he was asked about the idea of working with Page again – either as Page and Plant or Led Zeppelin.

Plant said: “No idea. It’s not even within my countenance to imagine it, really.”

The DJ pointed out how Led Zeppelin is still “dear in the hearts” of their fans.

Plant replied: “Me too – nobody more than me. But I don’t want to do it a disservice either.”
