Trump Kim lunch menu revealed: Leaders gorged on ice cream and prawns before signing | World | News

Before commencing their feast, President Trump told photographers: “Get a good picture everybody so we look nice and handsome and thin. Perfect.”

The lunch menu, which was released by the White House, was a masterpiece in mediation and versatile enough for even the most finicky eaters.

The starters comprised a choice of prawn cocktail with avocado salad, green mango kerabu dressed in honey with octopus and “oiseon” a traditional Korean dish consisting of a cucumber stuffed with beef, egg white and yolk.

The main course options included beef short rib confit served with potato dauphinois and steamed broccolini, sweet and sour crispy pork accompanied by Yangzhou fried rice and “daegu jorim”, a popular Korean special of soy-braised cod with radish and Asian vegetables.

Finally, for dessert guests were offered dark chocolate tartlet ganache, Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream with cherry coulis and tropezienne — a cream filled brioche.

President Trump and Chairman Kim were both accompanied by a contingent of advisers at the lunch, as both attempted to exercise their virility.

Joining President Trump were Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Chief of Staff John Kelly, National Security Advisor John Bolton, US Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim, Deputy Assistant to the president for Asian Affairs Matthew Pottinger and Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Chairman Kim was joined by former spy chief and one of North Korea’s chief negotiators Kim Yong Chol, Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, former Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choe Son Hui, Minister of the People’s Armed Forces No Kwang Chol, Workers’ Party of Korea Director Han Kwang Sang and Party First Deputy Director Kim Yo Jong.

Despite his people living a destitute life, Chairman Kim leads a life of opulence. He has an obsession with cheese, particularly Emmental after studying in Switzerland.

He has an adoration for fine liquor such as Hennessy cognac and a love of extravagant cars.

At the end of the historic summit, both President Trump and Chairman Kim signed an agreement, in which the US president pledged to not attack North Korea if Chairman Kim worked towards denuclearising the Korean Peninsula.
